Stone Springs Hospital Center is a state of the art community hospital, with many childbirth options for you to choose from. They have many excellent OB’s who practice at Stone Springs and The Loudoun County Midwives attend births there as well. The doulas at Balanced Birth Support love working with the midwives at LCM as well as the doctors that support them!
They have private labor, delivery, and postpartum rooms with rooming-in for mother and baby. There are several deep soaking tubs for labor, and lactation services are available for mothers who are planning to breastfeed. They support delayed cord clamping, natural pain management, and immediate skin-to-skin after birth.
While they do not have a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on site, they are instantly connected with providers from Reston Hospital Centers Level III NICU who can provide guidance and evaluate your newborn should he or she need additional support. If your baby needs additional support, Stone Springs highly experienced staff will arrange safe and secure transfer for your infant to Reston Hospital Center.
