Hi, I’m Reanica! I’m a trained high-risk labor & delivery and postpartum nurse, as well as a birth and postpartum doula. But I’m also a mom of three and a military spouse, which has given me a grounded, practical perspective on the challenges and joys of birth.
I first found my way into birth work while I was in nursing school, training with DONA International. I quickly realized that families need more than just clinical safety—they need a steady, compassionate presence to help them navigate the system without losing their voice.
Now, practicing throughout Virginia and the DC area, I serve families as both a Labor & Delivery nurse and a birth and postpartum doula. This dual role gives me a unique, “bilingual” perspective: I understand the clinical nuances of high-risk deliveries, VBACs, and medically complex pregnancies, but I never lose sight of the person at the center of the experience. Having been on both sides of the hospital bed, I know how to balance the technical demands of a medical environment with the hands-on, intuitive care families need to feel truly safe.
