Kerry Reynolds has been a DONA trained Birth Doula since January of 2009 and having attended nearly 800 births, is one of the most experienced Birth Doulas in the DC Metro area. As a native to the DMV, Kerry has a unique and deep connection to the community she serves. In addition to being a full time Doula, in 2020 Kerry was excited to accept a leadership position within Balanced Birth Support, serving as the Director of Birth Services for NoVa/DC. Kerry is passionate about helping connect families with the right doula for their own individual needs and helping them to achieve their goals.
Kerry is also deeply committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ families and has completed the Open Door LGBTQ+ Competency Training for professionals to ensure that all families feel safe and welcome. As a part of her role within Balanced Birth Support, Kerry has the opportunity to get to know the doulas within her team even more by hosting a monthly Meet the Doulas event as well as in her role as a Doula Mentor. Having started her career alongside a doula mentor of her own, Kerry is enthusiastic about providing support and encouragement to others who feel called to serve the birth community and loves to share her excitement for supporting families with others.
Kerry describes her passion for birth as a true labor of love, and credits her ability to stay with the intensity of birth work by maintaining an ideal work/life balance. Kerry is mom to two smart and wonderful daughters and became “Kiki” to her grandson in 2018. In her free time you might find her singing karaoke at one of the local spots, soaking up some sun on her SUP, or getting her hands dirty in the garden. She looks forward to meeting you and supporting your journey!
