Birthing at Holy Cross Hospital in Maryland

Summary

Approximately 160 obstetricians are credentialed to deliver your baby at Holy Cross Hospital or Holy Cross Germantown Hospital. They deliver approximately 10,000 babies each year at our hospitals and are focused entirely on helping mothers have a healthy pregnancy and birth. Holy Cross Hospital delivers more babies and cares for more newborns with complex medical issues than any other hospital in Maryland or the District of Columbia. Their website is full of helpful information.

They boast about their care for high risk pregnancies, births and babies.

Holy Cross is welcoming to different methods of childbirth and also welcoming to doulas… “We support each person’s personal labor choices, including natural childbirth, vaginal birth after cesarean section (VBAC), and the participation of doulas in your labor and delivery.”

Balanced Birth Support has several doulas who regularly attend births at Holy Cross, and they say that it is very welcoming to doulas. They have also said that they, and their clients, have had excellent experiences!
