Patients and visitors should park in the surface parking lot in front of Holy Cross Germantown Hospital. A parking lot for the Emergency Department is located in front of its entrance on the left-hand side of the hospital.

All parking at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital is free.

If you are in labor:

If you arrive to the hospital during daytime hours, enter through the main lobby and stop at the information desk to be directed to the third-floor Labor and Delivery unit. If you arrive to the hospital during evening hours, you may need to enter through the Emergency Department.

Visiting hours:Visiting Hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. | Quiet hours to promote patient rest: 8 p.m. to 10 a.m.

Food

Cafeteria:
Located on the 1st floor and open daily, 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. A variety of prepared and self-serve items are available. Hot meals are available as follows, with grab-and-go meals available throughout the day:

  • Breakfast – 6:30 to 9:30 a.m.
  • Lunch – 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Dinner – 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

NICU: Holy Cross Germantown Hospital’s fully-equipped Level II Neonatal Unit is a newborn care center for babies who are born up to two months early or who require being on a ventilator for less than 24 hours. If a newborn requires more intensive care after the first 24 hours following birth, parents have the option to have their baby transferred to the Holy Cross Hospital NICU in Silver Spring. Like all patient rooms at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, the Neonatal Unit features all private rooms for babies and their visiting family.

Other Information

Placenta Removal- Your placenta can be taken home on the day of delivery but you will need to sign a waiver. Be sure to tell your care provider and nurses that you will be bringing your placenta home.
