Nikkea Anderson
Nikkea brings more than 13 years of experience in early-childhood education and care to the Balanced Birth Support team. Her passion is partnering with families throughout the postpartum period and early childhood, helping parents feel supported, confident, and prepared as they care for their growing children.
For seven years, Nikkea completed extensive training through the United States Department of Defense, developing a high level of knowledge and skill in early-childhood education. As a former preschool teacher, she had the honor of educating and caring for the children of United States military families.
Nikkea believes that some of the most important learning and development occur during a child’s earliest years. Long before kindergarten begins, babies and young children are already building the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive foundations that will shape their future development.
Her background in child development allows Nikkea to help parents better understand their baby’s cues, developmental needs, sleep patterns, feeding experiences, and emerging personality. She combines professional knowledge with calm, practical guidance tailored to each family.
As a birth and postpartum doula, Nikkea provides compassionate support throughout pregnancy, birth, recovery, and the transition into life with a newborn. During postpartum care, she assists families with newborn care, infant soothing, sleep support, lactation and feeding guidance, parental rest, and adjustment to new family routines.
Throughout her career, Nikkea has developed a deep commitment to empowering parents. She approaches birth and postpartum work with a servant’s heart, viewing each opportunity to support a family as a privilege. Her goal is to offer a steady, nurturing presence while helping parents recognize and trust their own abilities.
