Jasmine Wigfall

Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding Specialist, Herbalist

Jasmine is a Perinatal Systems Navigator, high-risk full-spectrum doula, Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, placenta encapsulation specialist, herbalist, and tea company owner dedicated to improving maternal-health outcomes through education, advocacy, and holistic care.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia State University and a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University. Her education and diverse professional experience allow her to bring strong communication, organization, and systems-navigation skills to the families she supports.

Jasmine’s passion for birth work began after witnessing her sister’s difficult birth experience. She saw firsthand how gaps in communication, advocacy, and patient-centered care can affect the way a family experiences birth. That moment shaped her commitment to ensuring families—particularly Black families and other families of color—feel heard, informed, respected, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

As a full-spectrum doula, Jasmine supports families through a wide range of reproductive and perinatal experiences, including high-risk pregnancies. She helps clients understand the birth process, explore their options, prepare meaningful questions, and communicate their preferences with confidence.

Jasmine believes education can help replace fear and uncertainty with knowledge and self-trust. Her role is to provide evidence-informed resources, emotional reassurance, and practical support while honoring each family’s values, identity, and individual circumstances.

She is also passionate about helping partners become active and confident members of the birth team. Jasmine teaches partners how to provide meaningful physical and emotional support while creating space for connection, communication, and shared decision-making.

As a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, Jasmine provides education and encouragement to help families prepare for infant feeding and navigate the early postpartum period. She recognizes that feeding goals and experiences are deeply personal and offers respectful, individualized support without judgment.

In addition to her perinatal work, Jasmine is a trained herbalist who incorporates complementary wellness education into her approach. Through herbal knowledge and natural wellness practices, she helps clients explore supportive ways to nurture their physical and emotional well-being throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Jasmine’s work is grounded in reproductive advocacy, culturally responsive care, informed consent, and community empowerment. Her goal is to create a nurturing environment in which every family feels safe, valued, and capable of making informed decisions.

By combining perinatal systems navigation, doula support, breastfeeding education, and holistic wellness, Jasmine helps families approach birth and postpartum with greater knowledge, confidence, and support.
