Hello! I’m Danica, a certified birth doula and postpartum and infant care doula based in Frederick, Maryland. I provide traveling doula support to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood.

My journey into birth work began after welcoming my son in 2021 during the pandemic. Because of the restrictions in place, I experienced a significant lack of support throughout labor and birth. As a first-time mother, I wished I had someone experienced and knowledgeable in my corner—a calming presence who could guide, reassure, and support me both physically and emotionally.

While preparing for my own birth, I developed a deep interest in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. I soon became a trusted source of guidance and encouragement for friends and family members navigating their own journeys into parenthood.

I have spent much of my professional life working in healthcare, caring for others and advocating for their needs. However, it was not until I discovered doula work that I truly felt I had found my calling. Supporting families during such meaningful and vulnerable moments brings together everything I value: compassionate care, education, advocacy, and human connection.

As your doula, my goal is to be part of the village every family deserves. I provide attentive, individualized support from our first conversation through birth and the transition home with your new baby. I strive to help families feel informed, confident, respected, and genuinely cared for throughout the entire experience.

I welcome families of all backgrounds, identities, beliefs, and family structures. Your values and preferences will remain at the center of your care, and you will always receive compassionate, open-minded, and judgment-free support.
