I’ve known I wanted to be a midwife since I was 14, and always loved pregnancy. I would wake up early before school to watch “a baby story” on TLC and would stay after school to ask my pregnant student teachers questions about their pregnancy
Martie Vinson has held a lifelong interest and appreciation for the birthing process. She served a year long internship with Valerie Hall, Certified Professional Midwife in Idaho, from June 2016-June 2017. This phenomenal experience provided her with invaluable insight into the field of professional midwifery. Martie received her doula certification through Maternitywise International in June of 2018, after which she began building her experience before deciding to continue on to midwifery school. Martie is currently a Student Midwife studying under Deanna Kopf and going through the direct entry requirements to become a CPM. Her many inspiring role models and positive birth experiences have fueled her passion and commitment to supporting people in creating the individual birthing experience they want. In her free time, Martie can be found spending time with friends and family, enjoying delicious food, and online shopping.
The birth and postpartum period deserve to be treated with respect, care, and understanding, and in the right care that is always possible.
