Meet Charlotte!

I strive to provide care that is trauma-informed and affirming to all bodies and genders.

My love for birth began about four years ago, and I think I have my sisters and their births to thank for this! While living in California and managing an educational farm, I began doing my own research on childbirth, midwifery, doulas and the racial and socioeconomic disparities surrounding birth experiences in the US-I went down the rabbit hole, and I was totally hooked.

Upon moving back east, I trained with DONA to become a birth doula and started attending births in the DMV. Attending my sister’s birth last April was one of the most important moments of my life.

Outside of birth work, I am a self-identifying plant nerd. I run a school garden program at a Montessori school in Northern Virginia, and I still have a strong love for gardening, herbalism and connecting kids with the soil! I’m also an abortion doula, and training to be a death doula. I’m inspired by these powerful moments of transition and surrender in our lives, but mostly I just love being able to listen and support people.

My greatest hope for your birth experience is that you feel safe, seen, valued, supported and informed throughout.
