Hello! I'm Danica, a certified birth and postpartum/infant care doula. I am a traveling doula based in Frederick, Maryland and want to assist others in their birthing and parenthood journey.
In 2021 I welcomed my baby boy during the pandemic. The restrictions implemented caused a serious lack of support during the labor process and I wished I had someone to guide and support me as a first-time mom. It would have been valuable to have someone experienced and knowledgeable in my corner- a calming presence to be present, both physically and emotionally, every step of the way. In my time preparing for my own birth, my knowledge grew and I have since been a source of support and guidance for those close to me. I have always had careers in the healthcare field tending to and advocating for others, but nothing ever felt like I found my home. As a support person, I've enjoyed that role more than any other- I finally found my passion.
After being a support person for many years, I decided to become a doula. As a doula I have made it my goal to be a part of the village that everyone deserves by providing quality care and attention from the time you contact me, through the transition home with a new little one. I am an inclusive person and welcome diversity within my clients. I am open-minded and respect my clients ideals and beliefs- all are safe from judgement with me.
