Meet Tangiere Jones Birth and Postpartum Doula DC Metro

Ever since Tangiere was a child she wanted to assist with the process of bringing babies into the world and supporting families, but thought the only way to do that was to become an OBGYN. It wasn’t until she had her own personal experience with a doula in 2016 that she learned there was another way.

Her motivation for becoming a pregnancy and birth doula is to help families heal the fear often surrounding pregnancy and birth, as well as empower them with the knowledge and tools needed to feel confident during their birthing experience.

She believes that if you are having a baby, then you were made to do this and have everything you need inside of you to handle all that labor, delivery, and postpartum can throw at you. She also likes to incorporate energy healing in the form of Reiki to assist her clients with relaxation, stress relief, and the reprogramming of subconscious fears surrounding birth.

Before becoming a doula she spent three years as an elementary school teacher, and four years in customer service within the field of property management. Both of these experiences help her to be able to break down concepts in ways that are understandable while delivering top of the line service with a focus on empathy and compassion. When she’s not working she enjoys making handmade crystal jewelry, singing, and spending time with her daughter, fiancé, and three cats.
