My name is Charessa Freeman, and I am a compassionate, resilient birth worker who approaches birth as a sacred and transformative rite of passage. Over 10 years ago, I fell in love with the calling of birth work after becoming a mother myself—an experience that awakened my deep respect for the wisdom of the birthing body and the power of supported birth.
I am the mother of two daughters. My firstborn was welcomed through a home birth, and my second through a hospital birth. In both experiences, I felt cared for, heard, and fully supported. Each birth was empowering in its own way and continues to shape how I show up for the families I serve—with reverence, flexibility, and deep respect for individual choices and circumstances.
Throughout my journey, I have supported four families during birth and over 25 families through postpartum care, lactation support, childbirth education, and newborn care. I am here to meet families exactly where they are and to hold sacred, nonjudgmental space as they transition into empowered parenthood.
Teaching and education are at the heart of my work. I am passionate about helping families understand their options and providing evidence-based education, so they feel confident making informed decisions that align with their values, bodies, and lives. I believe knowledge, intuition, and support work best when woven together.
I bring a calm, heart-centered presence into every space I enter—along with resilience, compassion, and a sense of humor. I’m someone who can always see the silver lining and believes laughter is just as healing as rest. Outside of birth work, you’ll often find me exploring nature, reading, singing, or enjoying a good karaoke session.
My intention is simple and sacred: to serve families with honesty, warmth, and reverence, so they feel seen, supported, and empowered as they welcome new life.
