Birth changes everything. My role is to help you feel grounded and empowered as you welcome new life and step into a new chapter.
I was one of those children who watched A Baby Story on TLC, completely fascinated by birth. I loved playing with the cycle beads at my mom’s job when she worked at Georgetown’s Institute for Reproductive Health and learned so much about how our bodies work. I didn’t yet understand how vast birth work could be. I only saw hospital births and medical staff in scrubs. I knew I didn’t want to be a doctor or a nurse, so I assumed there wasn’t a place for me in that world.
After building a professional career and running other businesses, the quiet pull toward supporting birthing families bubbled back to the surface. Before officially becoming a doula, I was invited to a birth. The family invited me to be hands on, the midwife encouraged me to take doula training, I joked and shared snickerdoodles from Forestville (IYKYK) with dad. That experience shifted something deeply in me. I knew it was time to lean into the passion that had been waiting patiently in the background.
I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to birth or postpartum support. Every transition is unique. As a doula, I bring emotional reassurance and gentle advocacy while honoring each family’s autonomy and choices. YOU are the center of my approach to care and I consider it an honor to provide a personalized experience for each family.
I'm a proud PG County native and look forward to doing my part to improve birth outcomes in the region. When I'm not working I enjoy reading, boxing, daily long walks with my pup and laughing until my face hurts with the people I love.
Above all, I strive to create a space where families feel respected and supported as they welcome new life.
