Every birth is its own unique story, and my job as a doula is to meet families where they are with a calming presence and whatever support they need—whether that’s comfort measures, a listening ear, or just being there to steady the room. I am all about helping them feel strong, safe, and confident, however their journey unfolds.
I am a certified birth doula, Navy wife, and Air Force mom with a passion for empowering families during birth. I have three sons: an adult who recently graduated basic training, and my two younger boys 3 and 6 enjoying preschool and kindergarten. When I’m not doula-ing, I love outdoor adventures, discovering new trails, and spending time by the ocean–reflecting my roots in Jacksonville, FL, and Virginia Beach, VA. For over 15 years, I have also been a licensed cosmetologist (and still am!), working with people from all backgrounds, helping them look and feel their best—an experience that shapes my approachable, supportive style.
My doula path began with my own births. In 2006, I was nearly 2 weeks overdue, leading to an induction and emergency C-section. 12 years later, I had a hospital VBAC, followed by a successful home birth after cesarean (HBAC) in 2021 amid Covid–era hospital restrictions. Each birth deepened my understanding of interventions, evidence-based practices, and my body’s strength. Hiring a doula for my second pregnancy –a new concept to me then–transformed my experience, inspiring me after my third birth, supported by my husband and Midwives, to certify as a birth doula in 2023. I believe in a holistic approach, guiding people to trust their bodies, natural ability to give birth, while providing nurturing, informed support for their mind, body, and spirit. I’m excited to bring my diverse experiences and heartfelt dedication to your birth journey.
