Tiana began hands on experience in her mother’s home day care and nursery in 2004, at the age of eight. She developed a strong understanding of child safety and practical childcare duties such as feedings, pampering, and scheduling play time and naps for 9 babies, ranging from ages 6 weeks to 3 years old. Tiana‘s natural inclination to service infants and families continued from ages 14 to 21 by providing extensive day and overnight care. She transitioned to the Newborn Care Specialist practice after completing a Birth Doula workshop to broaden her knowledge of birth, labor, post partum care, and breastfeeding support. She also promotes safety measures such as social distancing, utilizing mask, and frequent hand washing as recommended health guidelines in the current pandemic. Tiana has been described as welcoming, gentle, responsible, and understanding with a warm demeanor that puts families and babies at ease.
